We collect minimal personal information to enhance your experience with our plugin. This includes:

User IP Address: Collected for security reasons and to monitor usage patterns.
Timestamps of Usage: To understand usage patterns and improve our services.
User Prompts: Optional text instructions submitted alongside a design review, collected to monitor and improve service quality.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used to provide, maintain, and improve our services. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data with third-party AI providers solely for the purpose of processing your design review requests.

4. Design Review Processing

Design Buddy uses one of several third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) to generate design reviews. When you submit a design:

Your design screenshot is sent directly to the AI provider's servers for processing.
A structured design summary is sent alongside the screenshot, containing metadata about your design such as canvas dimensions, font names and sizes, and color values.
We do not store your design screenshots or design summaries on our servers.
Optional text prompts submitted alongside a review may be retained on our servers for service monitoring and improvement purposes.

5. AI Provider Data Handling

Design reviews are processed by one of the following AI providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google. We may switch between these providers over time to evaluate performance or run A/B tests, and will use whichever is the best fit at a given period. Each provider has their own independent data retention and privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of the respective provider for details on how they handle submitted data.

6. User Responsibility

Important: Do not upload confidential, proprietary, or sensitive designs or include confidential information in text prompts. By using Design Buddy, you acknowledge that your designs will be processed by a third-party AI service and accept the associated data handling practices.

7. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no online service is completely secure.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new Privacy Policy on this page. Your continued use of Design Buddy after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
